"I want our locals and visitors to know that New Orleans has an amazing Comedy Communuty filled with so many incredibly talented comedians. To do so, I aim to keep comedy accessible to all of the GNO communities by providing as many free shows in as many locations through the city. And for all the comedians who work so hard on their craft, who give 100% every time no matter the size of the room or audience, I want to provide as many fun, comfortable spaces to practice and develop their skills." 



Jorge Velazquez is a New Orleans Stand Up Comedian, Show Producer, and Podcaster. He is the founder, producer, and Host of Craft Comedy, and host of the Funny Fucks Podcast. A natural born performer, he frequently travels throughout the US, hitting local comedy clubs, bars, rooftops, backyards...anywhere there's mic!


Jorge started Craft Comedy in 2022 after the pandemic left Nola Comedians with no venues to perform. Now, Craft Comedy regularly produces over 20 shows a month, giving nola comics more than enough opportunities to perform and develop their talent.
